Microwave Chocolate Cake in a Cup
4 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
2 tablespoons whisked egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil (you can replace some of the oil with mashed banana)
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
a splash vanilla
a dash of cinnamon or instant coffee)
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well .
Add egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix again.
Stir in chocolate, vanilla.
Microwave for 2½ to 3 minutes for a 1,000 watt oven.
Remove from microwave.
Allow cake to cool a little, then tip out onto a plate.
Of course you can add toppings, like whipped cream, chocolate syrup(for those chocoholics) or powdered sugar. I couldn't find my powdered sugar so we just at it as is, and it was plenty for two..
Cake or muffin? Who cares? It's chocolate and it's made in a cute cup!ReplyDelete
OMG This is so cute!! Lyndsey I have to do is absolutely nice!! gloriaReplyDelete
I think I need to put my daughter to work so I can enjoy the fruit of her labor. LOL Looks like the perfect recipe right here.ReplyDelete

Pam, lol! you're right! :DReplyDelete
Gloria, I and sure yours will come out so yummy!
Megan, :D yes, you should do that, it's big enough to share!
Lynda, Me too, and this has lots of chocolate!
Joanne, I know, it is dangerous, but look at the good stuff I put in. :D
Sarah, you can have it anytime.
Pam, yes, and for a muffin it's not too bad!
Betty Ray, it is fun. I don't use the microwave to cook anything in, so this was new to me.
Rita, she usually would make the Duncan Heinz microwaveable snack cakes that you just add water to. They were expensive (I would only get them on sale) I figured this is better.
laxsupermom, it was fun, and they can add what they like...white chocolate, cherries, caramel, coconut...etc...
Tigerfish, Sure just if you do it in the oven the mug needs to be oven-safe. I've seen cake baked in terracotta clay pots too. It would be interesting to try a steamer.
oh this is too fun and so cute!ReplyDelete
This is the LAST recipe I needed to see. Now,I will be able to eat chocolate cake every day! Is this a good thing? :)ReplyDelete
Simply Life, yes, tons of fun! You can't take it too seriously! Just eat it. Yum!ReplyDelete
