Festive Drink Umbrellas

For this weeks Martha Mondays we are doing a Martha Stewart craft project, but it's from her entertaining crafts, so it fits in well. Sassy Suppers chose Festive Drink Umbrellas for us all to make and it was perfect for this summer's poolside entertaining.

I have a lot of festive paper that I use for backgrounds when I photograph my bentos. I also had a lot of wooded skewers, and in three sizes (the short ones are also good for bento lunches) so I didn't have to cut the skewer. The only problem I had was I couldn't get to my cute decorative edging craft scissors so I had to use regular craft scissors. We are organizing the laundry room and my card making box in stored away.

It was fun and easy to do and can be done in a flash. Just trace around the size circle you want...I used a Tervis tumble. Then cut out a wedge like a piece of pie, and bring the edges together slightly overlapping so you can glue or back to back tape it. With a dab of glue inside the point that's where the tip of the skewer goes so it will stay in place.

There you have it! A fun festive decorations for your festive drinks! Cheers!!
