I had some farm fresh eggs, and scrambled them up with some home grown chives and organic half and half.
I pulled out some left overs, bacon from the staff appreciation breakfast at school, cooked red potatoes, some rice from Jose's Authentic Cuban Food restaurant that we went to Friday night, and some garlic chives. Warmed it all up in a skillet.
Pulled out the cotija cheese also known as Queso Anejado or "aged cheese" and our new favorite cheese, we use it all the time. It can be used like Parmesan cheese. The home made salsa from the Cuban restaurant..
We can see the plumeria in bloom from the lanai while we eat...and from the kitchen...
This is where we went for lunch...New Pass Grill, we at in the boat right at the dock watching the birds and boats going by on the way out to the gulf.
I like the weathered look, and casual atmosphere while we waited for our food.
The weather that day was overcast but bright, so it made it a "baby bear" day...not too hot and not too cool...just right!
You can just see a bit of our boat there below the umbrella.
It was a lot nicer than it looks, and it was very relaxing. I hope you all enjoyed you Mother's Day (and yes you know me) I'm posting a little late! Now i have to get started on my Martha Monday, do you think I can make it on time this week?
